Shades of the past!

This picture was taken 40 years ago when I was out in California with Polack Bros. and shows two of my very best friends visiting, Jimmy Rossi and Duane Bowman.
Duane and I played on the football team at dear old Hot Springs High.
The reason I bring this up is because I received a call from Duane yesterday and he, his son and another party are flying into Tampa from Calif. for the week end. Among the things he inquired about was the location of the Ringling Museum and the whereabouts of Ruskin, so I will be their tour guide.
The reason I bring this up is because several old friends in Hot Springs, who stumbled across the Blog, might find this interesting.

On an unrelated matter my wife and I took the grandkids to the opening of Kenny's new ice show "High School Musical" last night, the great man himself was in attendance along with many Vienna staffers.
Thanks to Gee Gee Engesser we enjoyed the benefits of a luxury suite. Having seen the related movie, Pat and Ryan fell right in with the other kids in the audience, flopping around like a pair of spastics. It even held Baby Kay's attention throughout, first time that ever happened.
Bill Powell explained that the show is geared to the mentality of an 8 year old which made me feel better because I couldn't make any sense out of it at all.
It looks like a winner tho, but if it isn't, it won't be because of expensive wardrobe, the cast looked as tho they just walked in off the street. I was told there are two more units of this show.
While picking up some $12 floss for the kids I asked the lad running the stand if he had ever been with either of the circuses and I never looked into a blanker face.
