Ringling-Barnum 1941 #7

On this overcast day we see the elephant car in the background.
It was at this point of unloading when boss elephant man Walter McLain was killed the next year in Atlanta.
The wagon broke free and began rolling away, McLain tried to climb on top to set the brake but slipped and fell beneath to his death.

I know this (9/12) is 5 days later, but if anyone looks as this, maybe they can offer opinions about theories I've heard. It has been said that Walter McClain's death was caused, and not an accident--that for some reason, someone wanted him murdered. Seeing how deadly poling can be, it could easily be made to look like an accident and written off. Who might have further insights?
