Brigitta Boccoli (From Henry Penndorf)

Brigitta Boccoli.1, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Wade Burck expressed an interest in the new tiger trainers working for the Circo Moira Orfie. For Mr. Burck...Mr. de Ritis furnished the names, David Chipperfield and Brigitta Boccoli, who Mr. de Ritis described as a "Italian TV ! starlet". I found a picture Ms. Broccoli, something to go along with the name (attached). The only information I could find on her was her birth date. Ms. Boccoli is 35. She was born on May 5, 1972 in Milan, Italy. The only David Chipperfield that I was able to find is an English architect of some note, not an animal trainer.

On a sad note...A member of a famous Russian circus family that dates back to 1882, wild animal trainer Walter Zapashny passed away on August 27 in Moscow after a long illness. Born on April 2, 1928, he was 79 at the time of his death.
For his circus career he achieved the status of Merited Artist of Russia. Together with his brothers Mistislav, current head of the Russian State Circus, and Igor, Mr. Zapashny performed as the Zapashny Brothers Mr. Zapashny began to train lions and tigers in 1945. As a solo performer Mr. Zapashny "developed and performed previously unknown tricks". He at one time had thirty-eight "predators" together in one act. Mr. Zapashny is credited as the first trainer to "saddle" a lion. He retired from the ring at age seventy. A memorial service was held in Moscow on August 30. Mr. Zapashny is the father of wild animal trainers Edgard and Askold Zapashny,.
