The post-WWII baby boom fueled the construction of hundreds of rides for kiddie parks around the US. Many of them came from the ride builder in North Tonawanda, New York, Herschell-Spillman. The wheel in the background came from the Eli Bridge Company of Jacksonville, IL, still proudly in business today. Some Big Eli wheels that are nearly a century old are still operable today.
