This looks to be one of those days when trouping under canvas could be miserable. The heat must have been stifling and the calliope didn't help matters.

And then come the the little biting blood suckers as soon as the sun starts to sink, about the time the show started. Hard to play your horn when you are slapping at the little buggers.
