Downie Bros. Circus #2

SAVE2847, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. Seen five years later in 1932 they have grown quite a bit and have been added at left by "Queen" and "Pinto" purchased at the Cole Bros. Circus bankruptcy auction (Floyd and Howard King) in 1930. Incidently, the third elephant at that auction, Big Modoc, was bought by the Ringling Show and shipped directly to the Peru Quarters and the following winter to Sarasota where she went on to Circus Stardom. Larry Davis was the Downie elephant boss in 1932 but neither of these men appear to be him.
