Cross mount on the tubs.
I always liked to get them on the tubs right away to show off their size.

Reminds me of a comment I heard when I first worked with sea lions. The advice was, "Open with a ball balance. It establishes that your a professional trainer, then you can do anything for the next ten minutes."
