RBBB Blue Unit 1979 #3


In those days the two end rings faced the back track at right while the center ring faced forward. So we could start together, Ring 1 made a lap and a half, the center ring one lap and Ring 3 a half lap.
This came about in an attempt to eliminate a front side or back side so you could charge the same amount for all seats.
The term "center ring" was also disposed of, in favor of "Ring 2" for the same reason.
