From Wanda Moore

Benny, Evalina and Jimmy Rossi with Kelly-Miller Circus 8/29/53 in DeKalb, Illinois.
"Jimmy was your best friend and he was my one true love, but marriage would have been a disaster.
I thought you would enjoy this picture."
Wanda

He was indeed, one of a kind. Around Hugo he was known as "The Sheik" and his car "The Sheikmobile".
As some of you may know, there were two older brothers, Marc Anthony (who was killed in WW 2) and Rex who died just recently.
Their father was Joe Rossi a well known Musical Director with Dailey Bros., Mills Bros. and later with the ill fated Biller Bros. Circus who made the remark that Jimmy quoted so often , "Pearla!, Pearla!" Packa the suitcase, the band she'sa blow!"
Jimmy could fly an air plane from the first time I met him, he even attempted to teach me how to fly D.R.'s Ryan Navion on several occasins which was a waste of time.
We maintained contact almost to the end, while a Captain with American Airlines he owned an Aerobatic Air Plane and would visit in Baraboo while he competed in a nearby competition. He won the National Championship several times but had to do so under an alias since American wouldn't be happy for the public to learn that one of their Captains was an Air Jockey.
After retirement he owned a Jet Aircraft that he exhibited in Air Shows. One morning while reading the Tampa Tribune the heading of an article read: "Aerobatic Champion dies in crash!" I dropped the paper to the floor and said "Oh No!" Barbara read the article and my fears were realized, he had died on his way home from an Air Show down in the Caribbeans. Fifty years of friendship gone just like that.

Hug and tell your friends you love them everytime you see them at least once. You just never know what will happen tomorrow. I regret not doing that almost every day.

5 years ago while showing down in the valley in the spring. I was lucky enough to meet Rex Rossi. He was kind enough to educate me in the art of laying down a zebra, which was simple and painless using his method. He struck me as a great horseman. He mentioned several times he was related to DR. Miller,,,is this correct?
