Buckles-
Greetings from wet and cold Wisconsin. Just got off the phone with Randy on Carson-Barnes. Couple of things he thought you might find of interest.
First, yesterday he played in mud so bad (his first time) that the elephants were sinking up to their bellies at the back door. Just like the old Barnes photo's.
Today they're playing Lawton, OK on a mall parking lot. At set up they were informed that NO stakes could be driven thru the asphalt. The whole show is set up with everything being tied off to trucks. Certainly makes it interesting.
Last- for the first (?) time in C-B history they're running a 15 minute intermission.
On that I'll close.

How long was it before?
I like that story Buckles tells about the show painter who drove into Hugo and Mr Obert Miller asked, "Did you paint your car?" and the fellow allowed as he had so Mr Miller said, "That good enough credentials for me."
Where I'm going with this is that the above Barnes wagon was painted by Yellow Burnett- those are the same scrolls he later put on Beatty's working cat cages.
Casey, If you are refering to intermission, the show never had one.
Hear old C&B is only carrying 3 elephants this year.
