Wagons of Harmony #7


Anyone who has been to Baraboo is familiar with the "Unifon" which is simply an assortment of doorbells that are played like a piano.

I played it in the Great Circus Parade a number of years and also at CWM when demonstrating the unusual instruments. Plays just like a piano, sounds like . . . doorbells. In tune, of course. One of our favorite blog masters, who volunteered at the parade, always requested "Louie, Louie" in a slight departure from "traditional" circus parade music. Your site sure brings back fun memories, Buckles.
