Eddie Woeckener was a real old timer, having directed real circus bands as far back as 1910 on Al G Barnes, John Robinson's, Hagenbeck-Wallace, Barnes-Sells-Floto, Russell Bros and Cole Bros.

His wife Maxine Penny Woeckener was a trick rider in the concert some years and of course was generally useful by working ladder and riding manage in the big show.

Eddie died just fifty years ago in I believe 1957 and a legal firm in Peru conducted an auction by mail of his circus collection. I bid on and won some early 1930s Hagenbeck-Wallace season route sheets
