Barbara and I caught Circus Sarasota last night, being hosted by Chuck Sidlow and was delighted to see friends Jim Ragona and Blog contributors Dave Orr and John Goodall. The show was very well received by an almost full house and the quality of the performance remains at the level we have come to expect. I was delighted to see that the good wardrobe was in display but later learned that Tim Holst was in the audience. In fact he was seen later measuring several of the artists for Bello wigs. And as if this wasn't excitement enough, last night was Gibtown Night at the Club, an occasion when all our friends from the Gibsonton Club were guests, headed by Hizzonor the Mayor. At our table were the usual suspects, John, Roy Wells, Bill Morris and Jim Elliott. The evening featured a 1950's band and fortunately I had presence of mind to wear my dancing slippers. I'm sure that around many a breakfast table this morning the subject of my fancy footwork during "Good Golly, Miss Molly!" is the topic of conversation. |
