Sells-Floto train at the crossing 1930 #5

What a picture! Early in the season they purchased two young elephants from August Busch (Peggy and Tessie) and along with them came the cart seen loaded next to the cannon, which they pulled in Spec.
Piled on the stringer wagon on the next flat cat are the carts used to move the sea lions from their dens to the ring and two flats further ahead rides the big top pole wagon.

You could never move a train like that today. As I recall the wheels were blocked but nothing was chained down.

Our wonderful world of the old circus could never be again because of "today." We were and still are the better for those old days.
