I visited the Columbus, Ohio Zoo several years ago. At the time, they had spent a considerable fortune bringing from Africa, a small pride of White Lions. After their arrival at the Zoo, it was determined that almost all of them were carrying the HIV strain. They couldn't risk putting them on exhibit without other animals being close so they remained housed inside the cat barn. That was a beautiful facility all by itself.

Does anyone know how the white lions and tigers are doing in Los Vagas? Are they working or just being shown like in a zoo? Beautyful animals and such a waste it would be to be hidden from public view. Sure wish the boys were still performing. One of the best stage shows there ever was.

I can't speak for the tigers but the White Lions have been housed at the Toledo Zoo in Toledo, Ohio for about two years now.

The white lions are on display at the secret garden at the Mirage. All animals are doing well. Mr. Roy is getting better all the time. Rehab is a long process. They purchased a baby leopard from me years ago and I get updates on her and the babies she has produced as well. Was the best show in Vegas for many years.
