Lewis Bros. Circus 1934 #2

A classic picture of the American depression-era Mud Show. The home made house trailers in the foreground, the big top cew gathered around the pole wagon after a hard mornings work and the little tent at left, like the one my folks and I shared in 1936 with the Joe B. Webb Circus.
John Herriott told me that his father,Milt and Bert Dearo shared a pup tent with Mighty Haag in the 1920's.

I find this beautiful nostalgic photo a proper setting for inspiring many memories in the minds & hearts of the Troopers that lived in this era .
I would enjoy hearing some " more " & detailed yarns that this photo might inspire -
howboutchya out there ?

I spent a season on Kelly Miller sleeping on an army cot like this one shown. It was set up in the stall that "CANDY" the zebra used before Kelly Miller. It was quite an adventure.

Hi.I am also researching the Lewis Bros Circus. My Mom & Mr. Ilfeld's Mom were both Mr. Lewis's Nieces. And I have personally visited the Old Circus Farm with my Mom. She has told me the stories of the "Home made" travel trailers and trucks. I showed her the picture (#2) and she dosn't think it was from "Uncle Paul's" Circus. Do you know anything about the date and place or source of this photo? Do you have any other photos or posters from the Lewis Bros Circus?
Thanks for your help! Chad
