Logan Memorial

Full house today at Freddy's memorial. Notable animal people such as John Herriott, Roy Wells, Junior Ruffin, Derek Rosaire, Bill Golden and Eddie Say in attendance.
As well as Jim Elliott and Bud Copeland who contribute to this blog.
Highlight of the afternoon however, was Tim Holst and Lance Ramos entering arm in arm.
Then came the blockbuster, it was announced that the Blue Show will add a cat in 2008, the tiger act from Circus Pages, presented by Fred Logan's grand daughter, Vicenta.
I never thought I would live to see the day when Kenneth Feld would actually admit he made a mistake or rather admit his daughter made a mistake. Having to make major improvements on the second year of the tour is unheard of. If anything it is usually reduced.

If he, Kenneth, actually carries through!

I'm sure Jorge can train more tigers and has more young people waiting in the wings.

The actual announcement was that it would be an all white tiger act.
I asked Lance if he was all set with the Red Show and he said yes.

Does anyone know if Vicenta will be playiing any other role on RBBB. Perhaps like elephants or maybe liberty horses? I know she is a wonderful aerialist as well.

Regarding Vicenta Pages going to RBBB blue with the cats....We're celebrating this fabulous decision! Particularly because Vicenta is Cap Logan's grandaughter, we'll have a real circus personality presenting the cats, and ALSO because Circus Pages has every intention of expanding their show with the addition of a mixed cat act to fill the void. This is a WIN WIN WIN scenario all the way around for the entire circus biz and for Circus Fans!

WONDERFUL NEWS to hear about Freddy's granddaughter presenting cats on Ringling. And hat's off to Mr. Feld for making things right again.

Great to hear the news. I saw Blue this past March, and I definitely missed the cats, as well as the rings. It would be great if Vicenta could work the liberty horses too. Buckles, does Ringling still have Mark and Gunther's Lippizaners and Arabs? I assume the Feld's owned most of them. It would be great to see them in action, decked out in harness, again!

maybe Carson and Barnes will bring back their cats for 2007. That's all they are missing
