Gomer Pyle comes to mind at first glance. Guess its the hat.
Dave Mullaney, a true friend and a consumate show fan. He would travel on his off days to photograph circuses and carnivals. We exchanged photos over the years.
Dave was a #1 circus fan and interested in circus and cazrnival history.
dave was one of the most honest men i ever knew. he truly called it like he saw it. it's been 40 years since i worked with him and i'm still learning to appreciate even more some of the things he taught me. he lived and breathed circus and you couldn't ask for a better friend.
No, I was just along for the ride since I was always at the right place at the right time.
"Anna May" was already trained and handed to me after my father died, I was lucky enough to marry the best possible person to showcase our work.
Was available when both Mac MacDonald and Hugo Schmitt retired and was on the scene when Big Apple decided to engage elephants.
Doesn't get any better than that.
You are too humble Buckles! I have seen what you did with some elephants that some considered too tough or dangerous and you turned them around!
Dang! you sure was good lookin.
I had no idea there were so many Gomer Pyle fans!
You're supposed to say, "GAAWLYY"!!
I think he looks like 007 Sean Connery
Bond, James Bond!
