Dailey Bros. Circus 1948 #2

This is Louie Reed at left, when he brought all the baby elephants on his two trips to India in 1947 and '48 for Ben Davenport, he even had bells for the lead stock. It made quite a racket as they marched thru town.

I use differnt sounding bells on my dashounds in field trials practice. I can find them in the tall grass if I have to. I also hang cow bells on each gate here so I can hear if anyone goes in or out. The pets can hear the slighted sound and any get them all barking at once. Cheap burgular alarms.

Every time I see a bell on an animal I think of “Pie” Jimmy Stewarts horse.

Yo Gary,

What were the names of our three karate kicking, slobbering tongue inflating, pee cooled, loveable dromedaries?

Larry Moe and Curly for all I know! Thank God after I left Winter Quarters I never had to mess with a camel again! Me and a guy named Jerry West had to train a bunch of them to drive and pull at WQ and all we had was some rope harness and a plywood skid. Some fun tho!
