Mt. Olivet Cemetery #1

Okie was a classic story, ran away and joined the circus in his teens and was most of his life with the Millers. Aside from being boss elephant man, worked cats, horses generally useful as all-around showman.
There are a large number of the upright stones seen in the upper left. Each is capped with an elephant and mark the outer perimeters of Showman's Rest.

I realize I've told the story too often about Okie and I swapping cats act at Jungleland. You'll have to forgive me--I'm nearly fifty years of age.

I'd been wanting to visit with Okie. Something told me to get on the arrows with it, and I tried several times, without ever reaching him, to call him the week he died.

I'll always remember his ready laugh. Rest in Peace, Old Pal.

Did he ever work at CWM in Baraboo when the big top was still up on the hill?
