Buckles, I don't think you realise how hard it is to leave this sight. It's worse that being a drug addict. Better have Shannon store up a few years worth of pics and quotes to ween us off just in case .
I completely agree. I come here to read the comments several times a day. The historical information is unmatched anywhere. The friendship of circus people can't be replaced by a local neighbor that has no idea what you speak of. This site, and Jim Peterson's blog plus the CHS website offer information that you just can't find anywhere else. Please continue with your terrific renditions as "WE" all enjoy Your retirement. Thanks. Bob
I completely agree. For a person just starting in the business. I love reading about the past. The best way to learn about it is to hear from people that live it. Hear the jackpot help me do my job better. The problem is someone should be writting it or tape it. The great one are going to the "Big Lot" in the sky, too fast. Thanks to all of you!! Please keep it caming. David
Just print out the sheets everyday. The whole story is there from the people who lived and loved the circus. I have found the easiest way is to print out the e-mail feed something or other.
Hey Larry you can go to the archives on the opening page and get caught up! It will take you some time as Buckles started the blog in June so it has almost been a year now.

One of my favorite elephant pictures.
The elephant name?
This is well known circus performer Thelma Zimmerman with "Topsy".

Right on, Bob Cline, you have said it all. Keep up the good work Buckles. Fred Pfening III used to say "the love of the circus is a disease."
