I never did either but seems like I remember reading in Eddie Allen's book where old "Ding" would wander over to the sea lion den where they always kept a crate of fish iced down and she would steal all she could.
Wasn't Lewis Carroll a mathematician? I read where he wrote numerous long and boring books on the subject, the only exception being "Alice in Wonderland". Queen Victoria loved the book and summoned him to the Palace and in an effort to make idle chit chat said "Mr. Carroll I've read all your books" and amused he replied "Really? which ones your Majesty?" upon which she quickly changed the subject.
Darryl, Yes it is, about late 1968. The elephant was Carolyn. She was a great animal, smart with a good disposition. She died a few years ago of kidney problems at the Zoo.
Now that I work at Disney I've learned that I should be pointing at her with two fingers.
Jim, I remember seeing this elephant at the zoo in 1981 when we played the Checker Dome in St Louis. I will have to look through my pics to see, but remember that name from a zoo visit.
J.G., I'm a part-time cast member; a "research student at Dr. Kulunda's Conservation School." What that means is I talk about the animals on the Pangani Trail (gorillas, naked mole rats, etc.) on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I love it.

Indeed!
I've never seen an elephant eat a fish

Shall we be trotting home again?'
But answer came there none--
And this was scarcely odd, because
They'd eaten every one.

Is this Jim A at St Louis zoo? What is the elephants name and is she still at the zoo?

She could not count to two yet in this picture.

Jim, are you involved at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park? It's a fabulous place.
