Althoff Elephants #1

You may recall that some time back I sent out a picture of Franz Althoff working the 60 horse drill and when I came across these elephant pictures I was curious as to what the connection might be. We are all familiar with Jackie Althoff's bear act, the Althoffs' that had the tiger and horse act with the Ringling Show and even Elfie Althoff who married Rudy Jacoby but after making a few inquiries I find that this is a very complicated subject. The people in question came from different shows and had different backgrounds and in some cases might not even be related. Maybe Jim Clubb could unravel this mystery.
