Tomorrow is the day #1 Breathless Anticipation

I was fortunate enough to see the Ringling Show in 1948, at 13 this was the first time I was old enough to realize what I was looking at.
Not many people remember that this was a display and acts of almost equal stature appeared in the end rings. They were all dressed in the same color wardrobe and Merle Evans 26 piece band played "Deep Purple".

No audience participation required for that year's show.

Was this his wife or daughter styling for him?

His wife, today she would not be permitted in the ring under any circumstances since she wouldn't fit the profile.
His daughter Vickie was a featured aerialist later on the show for many years.

Buckles,
Are you going to have a midnight review of RINGLESS RINGLING tomorrow night to let the rest of know of your impressions of "Ringling on Rubber"?

No! and I have the same feelings toward funerals, I prefer to remember the deseaced as they were when alive.

I just received word from a friend expressing disappointment that I wouldn't be at the Ken & Nicole opening, adding that he had heard that Kenneth had planed on making me Honorary Ringmaster.

For Sale: Three slightly used ring curbs, we stopped doing three ring displays years ago so the equipment is in excellent condition. Contact Ken and Nicole. Ringless Brothers and Bardumb and Barely Circus. (HE HE, remember us? We stopped using the word CIRCUS in our advertisements a few years ago.)

I just realized one simple trick of his trade. The tails of his coat are pinned to his pants so as not to flip up during his stands upside down. Very professional appearance.

Unus was a most impressive performer. I saw him in the 60s until he retired. I don't care if there was a brace in that glove or not--his one finger stand as he alone could present it was, for me, the best ever done.
