This must be a fun shot. I have never seen an elephant wearing a blanket during the act.

I doubt this was taken during the act. Probably a posed shot while waiting for Spec.

As many can say who knew them, Bert and Marie were among the best friends you could make in showbusiness. Buckles might remind us which act it was that Bert trained without leaving a single hook boil in the herd. Bert was also an inventive bartender, if you share my memories of his scotch and grape juice.
