"Gilda"


I heard tonight that the Sigfried & Roy elephant "Gilda" died yesterday in Las Vegas. She came over from England with the Billy Smart herd to the Ringling Show in 1972.
This is a picture of Barbara presenting a 5-act at the Ringling Park in 1976 and shows "Gilda" sitting up at right.

Buckles ,Thanks for the e-mail on Gilda! She was a really great elephant in her own rights. Smarter than she looked so to speak! I'm still bugged as I told you I did happen to think about her today, read the paper and there was an article about Roy getting better and then to get your e-mail about her! Wow! Too much for this old Texan's little mind! Always, Gary
