Sells-Floto Circus 1918/ Henry Boucher and "Muggins"

Henry Boucher took over the Floto Show elephants in 1918 and is seen here in parade with a young male elephant named "Muggins" who was actually owned by the show's Performance Director Rhoda Royal. This unit even appeared in the performance, "Muggins" would do the "bottle walk" since the axle on the cart was high enough to clear the bottles and the configuration of the hitch even allowed him to waltz as he continued around the ring.
