Orton Bros. Circus 1916/ The Orton sisters

These are the ladies whose names were borne on the side of the coaches, at left my aunts Nellie and Grace and at right my mother Sarah, even in 1916 she was called "Babe" being the youngest of the family. How could they have known on this day that doom and gloom lay just around the corner.
