Hagenbeck/ Camel ride

I always thought this was the Frank Bostock Show until I enlarged the picture and spotted "Hagenbeck" on the entance. Might this be the ill fated Carl Hagenbeck Show of 1906 in Mexico? Another thing I pondered after close examination of the saddle and attendant, "How much money would Mr. Hagenbeck have to pay me to actually ride this animal?" At last count it was a very vast sum.

Or as the old ad jingle SHOULD have said, "I'd walk a mile to avoid that camel."

I have a dear friend 80 years old that went to Egypt last year just to have her picture taken on a real camel at the perimids(?) She sent me a copy. If only we had known each other 50 years ago I could have saved her a bundle. I do not think I could have gotten her on an elephant. I just love old rich people with a since of adventure,

I suspect its probably at one of the World's Fairs
in the early 20th Century.
Possibly the one held in St.Louis?
