This tableaux is dated 1900 with Barnum & Bailey. This would make it the third year of their European tour while in Germany. From what I gather there would be non stop action from a man in a gorilla suit with a second looking on, a dapper looking couple with a poodle dog (comedy number?), a clown in a box, another clown riding backwards on a stuffed donkey and finally a gentleman looking aft and wondering what the holdup could be.
