This clown picture was taken in 1913 with the Barnum & Bailey Show which was owned by the Ringlings at the time. 1. H. Clemings 2. .................. (fat suit) 3. Tom Hart 4. Everett Hart 5. .................. (tramp clown) 6. Paul Jerome 7. .................. These are the way they are listed. If correct I am surprised to see Jerome in white face. Buckles

I suppose if someone wore a "Fat Suit" in our politically correct society it would offend somebody, and result in a law suit.

In todays world one is almost afraid to breath for fear of a law suit. If only we could live our lives as we did in THE OLD DAYS things and people would be SOOOO much happyier.

Paul Jerome often did white face and some of his photos taken with Ringling were used in much publicity. Everett and Tom Hart were with Ringling in later years, Tom Passed away, but Everett was there during some of the years I was there. All great clowns and troupers. Jackie LeClaire
