That’s the Peggy that I remember from late in 1970 at Circus World. For some reason one calm morning I had to take her from the Picket line to the ride; maybe it was after Rebecca had that thing on her knee lanced. Anyway this picture is the image that I have of Peggy etched in my mind: Ears flapping, trunk spinning, and a tuff reputation. She also recognized me as the ride goof that I will always be. As I remember the walk to the ride actually went well, a little uncomfortable for me because her trunk hairs kept sticking through my shirt, but a good day with Peggy none the less.
Literally thousands of people have pictures of Peggy and Anna May in the Barber Shop routine, I’d just like to see one now.
Little John, I don't think this is the Circus World, Peggy? CW Peggy was one of my favorites. I always rode her on the elephant walks to the train from CW when we left for the Blue Show. I remember she could smell alcohol on you and she didn't like it! Gary
