#7 Blue Show
|
Dogs' name was "Window". Axel told me he wandered into Winter Quarters and made himself at home. One day they left him in the bunk house while they went in for rehearsal and he crashed thru the window and followed along, hence the name. |

I named this tuskless male after Herr Schmitt. Some of the guys in the crew called him "Huggo".....can't remember why. .....he was just going into his one foot stand, too bad the photographer didn't wait a second longer. |

My daughter and "Charlie" that I trained while we were at Circus World. Somebody told Charlie Bauman that I named the elephant after him and one day he thanked me, when in fact I had Charles Ringling in mind. |

| For the lengthy Medinah Temple Shrine date in Chicago we kept the elephants at a nearby Garage at night and this was our procession to work each morning. |

While my wife and I were with the Show Irving J. Polack was long deceased and I only remember seeing Mrs. Polack several times while we played Medinah Temple in Chicago. Mr. Stern was the man. |

This act was quite a sensation when introduced by Mack and Peggy MacDonald in 1955. The act obviously named after the Shows' owners. |
