The Roof Garden Theater where more risqué productions

were presented & but longer exists was added in 1904

but it was utilized in the late 70s & early 80s as a

rehearsal facility for a few Broadway shows

It operated under several names including The Aerial

The Roof Garden & The Dresden

The front entrance facing 42nd Street

opens to a very long corridor leading

to the theater beyond which explains

why loading & stage doors face 41st

It is always a pleasure to see photos of old theaters that have been restored to their former greatness.
