Jenny & Hugo lived on Howell Place

in Sarasota across the street from

Suzanne & Charles Zerbini and both

families raised children of nearly

the same age The Schmitt's younger

2 sons Roman & Eddie were about the

same ages of the Zerbini's son Jean

Charles (Tarzan) & daughter Stella

Maria (Mimi) who still owns their

property (& more of the street)

Several Zerbinis still live there

That area was surrounded

by orange groves back then

It is at the Southern edge

of Fruitville hence the

name of Fruitville Road

a primary connector from

US 41 "The Trail" out to

& way past I-75

At the Western end where

it got downtown it was

alligned with 3rd Street

which it glommed

Wife Jenny died in 1999

Hugo died in 1977
