There is some very current circus history posted today on the Australian version of 60 MINUTES. The Ashton family is not named in this story. But in 2017, the Cook family, who operated the Katoomba Circus School, in New South Wales, was unjustly accused of child sex abuse. The wrongful charges came from an embittered relative, and the NSW Police response was brutal. Not one shred of evidence was ever found to confirm any of the charges, and just recently, 3 years after lasting damage has been done to them, the Cooks were totally exonerated. Their lawyer said of the prosecution it is unwise to pursue victory at all costs, for when chasing monsters one must not become one of them.
