The structural steel core of the Twin Towers
built to withstand winds in excess of 200 MPH
and a conventional fire could not withstand
the heat generated by the burning jet fuel
Osama bin Laden the mastermind behind the attacks
remained at large and in hiding until May 2 2011
when he was finally tracked down and killed
by US forces at a hideout in Abbottabad Pakistan
The internet, especially YouTube, is overrun with very serious claims that 9-11's building collapses were "planned demolition". Some claim it was so that George W. Bush could justify starting a war which would enrich his military-industrial complex cronies. Other claims held that "someone heard" timed commands setting off charges to implode surrounding buildings that "would not have otherwise fallen" to the 2 airplanes' impacts. These charges are numerous and easily found today. All go into extensive technical details, even if never conclusively substantiated. But we expect such theories to emerge after every tragedy.
The Seal Team 6 member who actually shot Bin Laden broke a hard rule by speaking up to make the claim. I won't repeat his name, but he even wrote a book about it, and has done TV interviews. The general idea is to remain anonymous in this service, lest the bad guys use their extensive resources to track down the Team. He has opened the door for them.
