This Benzini Bros. was the circus title in WATER FOR ELEPHANTS. Wini McKay and Chester Cable supplied all the circus equipment. Many years earlier, this team, with Parley Baer, originated the Los Angeles Circus, which gave big and small performances for charity events around Southern California. In 2002, we all attended one of their shows at the Louis B. Mayer Theatre at the Motion Picture Country Home, in Woodland Hills. This one featured Chester, well along in years, still starring with his foot juggling of his heavy table.

Remember seeing Chester and Winnie on Big John Strong’s Circus. Seem to recall Big John introduced him as Sir Chester Cable.

I first knew Chester on Miller-Johnson, in 1968. I had the Jungleland lions and doubled as Ringmaster/Announcer. Chester's announcement described his foot juggling the table. I was supposed to say, as he did, "Weighing 150 pounds!" As Chester went into the trick, I'd break him up, announcing, "Weighing five-HUNDRED pounds!", and he had to start the trick over again.
