The next three pictures were taken during the afternoon performance.

That afternoon, May 20, 1976, the performance was stopped right after Dave Hoover's act and the audience was asked to leave the tent because of the heavy winds.

In the first picture you can see the audience leaving as the tent starts to lift at the far end. Note the angle of the trapeze rigging with the left side rising.
