Seen here, in a posed shot of Clyde and Harriett Beatty, are a few of the lion cub quints born during wild publicity for the Dionne quintuplets of Canada. The girls were identical sisters, the first quints known to survive infancy. Whether or not five lions arrived in the same litter, five were lined up to capitalize on the press given the girls. The year was 1934.
