Dame Helen Mirren. This is not how she won her Oscar.

I hsd the opportunity to work on

"Dance of Death" with Helen Mirrin

& Ian McKellen both on Broadway

& in the West End many years ago

They are both extremely gracious

So I've always heard, and how good this is to know about two of the greatest.

By the way it's "Sir Ian McKellen"

When "Dance of Death" played at the

Broadhurst on 44th Street in NYC

the theater has only 2 stage level

dressing rooms which wold have been

for the 2 stars of the show however

the very gracious Sir Ian offered

his to Ann Pitoniak an older women

playing a minor role in the play

The Broaadhurst happens to be

the same theater where Sir Ian

won a Tony Award for his role

of Salieri in "Amadeus"

BOPPABILL: You missed something not getting CHIC'S book. My copy is a respected reference work for a career the rest of us wish we had. Knowing icons of showbusiness like Sir Ian and Dame Helen of the theatre, and Clyde Beatty of the steel arena, are only 3 of those documented in these unique pages. CHIC worked in all the most renowned production companies of his lifetime, and his technical and artistic contributions won unending praise, keeping him in current demand.

When the time comes, I can see The Director on the Big Lot saying, "I could use a little help on Special Effects. Isn't that Chic Silber over there?"
