Was this act the forerunner of the Motordrome as we later knew it?

Never saw anything like this before

We find motordromes on YouTube. Some were gigantic, and one or two had lions sitting on seats while the riders stormed past them. At least one elevated, and at threatening height during the motorcycles circling, the bottom was lowered out. There was a tragedy with this act, also on film.

Jordan Circus, just here in Yuma last July, featured a strong Globe of Death number. These are big hits with cycle riders, but are far more dangerous than fans realize.

The Purtells had a Motodrome on Cetlin & Wilson Railroad Carnival...They had a lady rider who had a side seat attached to her bike. She had a lion who would sit in the side seat and actually ride the wall with her. Seems her name may have been Margie. It was very exciting at the time....Can only imagine how the AR nuts would react to that in today's world. Along the same lines, I have seen these bikers who come roaring into the arena and go up an incline....From there they turn flips, hold on to the handle bars in a handstand and other death defying stunts. They land on another ramp and out the back door. Saw this the last two years on Tarzan Zerbini's Shrine Circus date, Marietta, Ga. It is truly a death wish act....
