She is sitting on the Howe's Dragon Float which dates back at least to 1871. Bailey and company purchase the Howe show in 1878 and it was with his circus until his death. Ringling purchases Bailey assets and use this wagon in specs until 1937. You can see it in the above Kelty photo from 1931 with it's original wings in the left lower corner of the photo. In about 1932 the wings are removed and a small temple replaces the wings ( this photo is between 1932 and 1937). After 1937 the wagon disappears. I have heard that at one time the wings that had been removed were at the Ringling Museum. p.j.holmes
