The Richter Family mixed animal carousel, winner of the Gold Clown at this year's Monte Carlo International Circus Festival. The act, representing the Hungarian National Circus, won standing ovations from the audience every time that it appeared.
Chic you are doing a great job with the blog. Thank you so much. Hey when are you going to be able to attend another luncheon? We miss you. I agree with Paul on that photo.....Barbara....
Not for sure, PAUL, but start typing it in at YouTube. They have films of circus acts, including Leitzel, Rastelli, Con Colleano, et al, so give it a go.
Here's a link to the Monte Carlo performance Paul:

I was there in person to see it. The video is impressive, but can't compare to seeing it live. By the way, the music was written specifically for the act and the singer came from Hungary with the Richters to perform in Monte Carlo.

Magyar Nemzeti Cirkusz
is the actual show title
Now that's what I call mixed. I feel like applauding just looking at the photo.

Thanks Barbara but here's
the good news & the bad news
Good that I'm still a semi
retired working stiff which
makes paying all the bills
quite painless however the
bad news is that I don't
have much control of the
required travel dates for
meeting my work obligations
Often with little notice
Surely you can recall such
One of these days when I'm
forced to hang up my spurs
hopefully well before the
the drooling in assisted
living arrangements occur
Just hope I can remember
some jackpot tall stories
Love to all of you
I've never seen a ring like this. I've always taken my hat off to anyone who works with zebras, but this is beyond what anyone else has done.
I think there are at least 29 animals in that ring. Does anyone know if there is a video of this act that is available?
