If she found the shovel...

There should be pieces of the handle in evidence.

In the 6 months I had Mary, Sue, and Margie, the Seusz elephants, I observed the rule I learned from Arky Scott: Never leave ANYTHING within their reach.

Mary(the above mentioned Mary) was bad about snatching anything over her head. One night in the old Atlanta Auditorium she broke a water pipe, which sprayed water all over until we could locate a "union man" to shut the water off. As luck would have it, a couple of day's later a water pipe broke in the bathroom's near where the elephant's were stabled. No one knew the bathroom had flooded until Tony Smaha Sr.(a wonderful man) who originally trained Mary, Sue, and Ruth(before Margie) went in, then came out with riding boot's wet up to the ankle, and yelled at me asking, "my boy, did Mary get into the bathroom last night?" Lou always' told me "mark off twenty feet, and then just to be safe, mark off another twenty feet before you put the wheel barrow and shovel down......."
