Had an Auction Pitchman named "Odie Dodie" on the Kelly-Miller Show back in the 50's who would stop the Evening Blow-Off crowd with a Handkerchief and the words, "Hi! Hi! Ka Fluki! Hully Gully, Oh! Golly!
"Praise Be, Lord Pee Wee, Highly Salami and Almighty Rama!

Yup I remember yet another

flim flam guy with a quick set

pitch stand at the blowoff of

some MidWestern big fair date

Whatever he was selling was

easily forgettable but what

he bantered caught everyone's

attention & "Hody Kadody" was

strung through his oratory

Possibly the same guy or a

desciple of his

But Larry Kadody gave us a shot of Barbara that saves the day.

I too have always heard it as "Larry Kadody," being told by no less then star of stage, screen and Marine Land, never wrong, always right James Castle Hall. Though admittedly it was normally in reference to Larry Allen Dean investing in Australian Opals.

i remember ODIE DODY..... Joe Kobley was his name....we toured with him for several years....he lived in california in the late 60's ..... at the time we were on the Sid Kellner show...... we have some great video of those times with Odie ......I made the after show pitch with him several times..... he certainly could gather a crowd...

Larry Kadody was another saying somewhat related to bad stuff or specifically bad merchandise on the show....if it was a "larry" it was usually did not work or was the hershey bars that weathered freezing temperatures followed by 100 degree heat in the back of a stock truck.....most were Larry..... it is a wonder the show did not poison more customers with hershey bars in that era.....

Just had a great idea Gary

I'd be happy to pay your

trip expenses if you would

stop in New Braunfels to

pick up that "W" elephant

tub that the Woodcocks so

graciously offered to me

From New Braunfels you're

very close to I-10 that

will take you to I-75

(my wishful thinking)

Everyone check Barbara's Facebook page for current updates on her long recovery and her hopes to soon return home. She is literally surrounded by loving family and friends, and is coming through a difficult time of it. So let's all offer our best thoughts, wishes, and prayers for this great lady of the American Circus.
