#8 More CW!

One day the RB Press Crew showed up with Veternarian Dr. Henderson and asked if they could take some Publicity pictures since all the elephants in Winter Quarters were on the road.

Wonderful Doc Henderson, my fellow Texan, and at a key time a personal advocate of mine. He pioneered exotic animal diagnosis, medications, treatments, and procedures. He said his book, CIRCUS DOCTOR, barely touched on all he did, since veterinary advances were becoming so rapid, there were many who scoffed at his early efforts. Doc was not the first exotic animal vet, but he sure as hell was the first to oversee a major traveling collection of performing, working, and menagerie animals on a circus making countless one-night stands in the hinterlands. Doc thus became the definitive pioneer in his specialized field.

I owe my time with the Circus to him..he Hired me out of Texas and let me work with him in Quarters. He taught me how to trim horses hooves and elephant feet...
