Everybody I knew in the circus business, including those at Jungleland, played Hawaii but me, damn it. My "Black Irish" friend, Patrick Raines Brown, and I loaded out 2 SeaLand containers in 1969, going over for Charlie Germaine. Pat went over in charge of this shipment and I stayed here. That was sort of OK, since I had a newborn son then, but nothing brought me the long-wanted "Aloha".
