Somewhere I have the whole story. It happened on the Barnes show, in Corsicana, Texas. Curly was lucky. He was off the show, standing with a woman on the sidewalk, watching the parade, when Black Diamond suddenly attacked him. This is what he looked like in survival. As I recall, the woman was killed. After this, John Ringling ordered that Diamond be executed "in some humane way." I'm still re-discovering my plunder after an interstate move, so someone else come up with the rest of the skinny.
