Milonga and Johnny were fixtures on the Beatty show for many seasons. It was Johnny, as a close friend of Clyde Beatty, whom the Front End chose to go back to the dressing wagon and tell him that his wife, Harriett, had been found dead on the train--this on October 25, 1950, in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Mrs. Beatty was only 41.
